As an Interface Designer, you’ll be responsible for designing the interface that millions use to meet new people. You’ll play a key role during every stage of feature development, while shaping the future of OkCupid.

What you’ll do

• Lead the design of projects from concept to release
• Design visual interfaces, user flows, and compelling interactions
• Translate complex ideas into elegant, intuitive designs
• Work closely with front-end developers, software engineers, and other designers
• Explore and experiment with the future of the OkCupid interface

What you need to land an interview

• A portfolio of beautiful interface designs that will make us swoon
• Proven understanding of interaction design concepts
• An excellent sense of typography, layout, and general design principles
• 3+ years professional experience with mobile app or mobile site design
• 5+ years professional experience with web design

What we’re expecting

• You use OkCupid (or have in the past) and love the product
• You understand the technical side of things, but your real strength is in design
• You’re meticulous, but still able to iterate quickly
• You have a portfolio (which you probably built yourself) of projects you’ve worked on (some of which are self-started)
• You dig the mobile space and the impact it’s had on interaction design
